Finding Your Perfect Fit: A Guide to Lake George Store Sizing
Whether you’re gearing up for a sunrise hike up Buck Mountain or looking for the perfect "dockside" hoodie, nothing ruins the vibe like a fit that’s just a little bit off.
At The Lake George Store, we want you to feel as good as the views from the Narrows. Since we carry everything from rugged performance gear to cozy lounge favorites, we’ve put together this quick guide to help you find your Lake George gear with total confidence.
1. Where to Find the Numbers
We don't want you to have to guess. On every single product page, you will find a dedicated Sizing Chart.
-
Look for the table: Usually located right below the "Add to Cart" button or in the product description area. If it's not there, look for it in product images.
-
What's inside: For shirts you'll find measurements for Width (across the chest) and Length (from shoulder to hem), for hat you'll find diameter and for pants you'll find inseam and waist.
Pro Tip: For shirts don't measure your body—measure your favorite shirt you already own! Lay your best-fitting tee flat on a table and measure the width. Compare those numbers to our chart for a guaranteed win.
2. Understanding Our "Fits"
Because our collections serve different purposes, the fits can vary. Here is the general rule of thumb for our most popular items:
The "Classic Crew" (T-Shirts)
Our tees are generally Unisex/Standard Fit.
-
For Men: These run true to size. If you usually wear a Large, stay with a Large.
-
For Women: Since these are unisex, they have a more relaxed, "boyfriend" fit. If you prefer a slimmer look, we recommend sizing down one.
The "Summit Layer" (Hoodies & Sweatshirts)
Designed for the Summit Seekers and chilly lake mornings, our hoodies are built for layering.
-
Most are true to size, but if you plan on wearing a thick thermal underneath for a late-autumn hike, you might want to size up for extra room. In some unique cases the hoodie sizes can run small - those product pages have specific descriptions on them.
Headwear (Hats)
-
Trucker Hats: Feature an adjustable snapback—one size fits most "human-sized" heads!
-
Beanies: Made with high-stretch acrylic, designed to stay snug whether you're on a boat or a chairlift.
